Best jokbal (pork trotters) I have tried so far! The meat is tender and thinly sliced -- cooked perfectly. Other versions I have tried tend to be over cooked and mushy (too gelatinous). We ordered the 5. Combo to feed two people. You get way more jokbal than bossam (pork belly) but I didn't mind. They flame torch it when it comes to the table. It is served with an assortment of banchan (but no garlic or jalapeno to be seen). I liked the fish cake, salted shrimp, and cilantro side dishes but others could have used more flavor (knocking a star for this). You also get both cabbage and pickled daikon. They also serve complimentary tea instead of water. It was quite busy on a Thursday night for only 2-3 waiters so service was spotty but parking is so easy at this location with a big free lot.

When we arrived, there was a bit of people in line. Rather than a sign in sheet, you have to physically stand in line. We ordered the gamjatang, which was good, but the meat was hard to get off the bone and a bit spicy. The Assorted combo is great to share with your family. Service was good as it was a pretty busy day.

Little secret spot in K-town. Pretty good food with decent price. You can have full dinner of meat, rice, banchans in less than 20$

I absolutely loved this place and their bossam! Admittedly my friends and I came here when we realized our other ktown destination was closed-but I'm so glad we did. When we arrived, it was just our party and a few others. The service was great, the owner was very attentive and when we were pausing to take a picture of the spread (which was gorgeous), she even came over to teach us how to eat the food~ though we already knew, it was super nice knowing they would take the extra step for us. Our party of 3 ordered (I believe) a medium pork belly lunch set, and some blood sausage. The bossam was really delicious and tender, and the portion was honestly quite large for our party! We really wanted to take some home but there is a small fee for a box so keep that in mind. I love the pickles vegetables it comes with that you can eat with the bossam as well. I only wish there was more cabbage, as there was not enough for each piece (or even two) of meat. I love eating it with the side dishes as well, and I liked the cucumber, spinach, and fish cake ones here! The bean paste (?) was amazing as well. I recommend coming here for some solid bossam for a reasonable price, especially in a large group!

The restaurant was easy to find, since it was located with a string of other restaurants with parking just in the front. Walking inside, the atmosphere looks a bit worn and shabby with all its dated walls and furniture. The waiter was kind and considerate, seating us down fairly quickly. We got a generous assortment of appetizers, and the waiter even got us seconds when we finished the first round. The mains, starting with the pig bone soup, was massive in portion. I was astonished at how much they provided, as the pork bones were piled high. The meat was somewhat juicy, but other parts were a bit dry. Flavor was great, seasoned appropriately, and the greens/potatoes were nice and rendered down. Now for the part of the meal I was looking forward to the most; the Bossam. I've constantly appreciated simplicity in many delicious dishes, and Bossam seems to be a dish just like that (and we got just that). The pork was done properly, with the fat glistening. It's just the lean part of the meat that was a bit overdone for me. The vegetables were fresh and cleaned properly, with the radish being a nice twist of acidity. The fermented soybean radish was a little too pungent for me, even with the other elements in the dish. Next time I'm in town, I would come back for seconds, and I recommend anyone else that doesn't mind sacrificing atmosphere for a bite of great Korean comfort food.

This place is as good as it gets. People come for the bossam and the jokbal, and those are just fine as expected. But what I didn't expect was that their other offerings would be phenomenal. Pork bone soup was spicy, in a red sauce - but not in the typical "red" sauce, but with its own flavor, with tons of meat falling off of the spine, and buttery cabbage. Ginseng chicken soup was a complete surprise, with profound flavors and dumplings and garlic rice stuffed inside the chicken in the soup. And the banchan was splendid - they came with only 6 varieties, but they tasted completely original, homemade, and ultrafermented. I live in Ktown and have eaten at over 50 restaurants here, and this unsung place is a genuine standout.

Love the bossam here. I would drive out here few times a year from SGV for their bossam, soup, and blood sausages. The portion for the Small bossam was just perfect for 1 person. The pork bone soup came with a lot of protein and adding a side of blood sausages into soup made it even more delicious.

They did not miss Every single thing was so good (banchan, soup, even their rice ) There is a huge variety of banchan and reasonable prices, this is going to be my spot if I want homestyle Korean food Bossam and jokbal combo (I think ~$45 for M size) - SO good. I haven't had much bossam/jokbal in koreatown but can def say this is a good place. We split this w 3 people and were full so super reasonable prices too! Instagram - @joangela.eats

Really liked this Bossam (sliced boiled pork belly) place, they even fired up the surface of bulgogi (marinated and bbq beef) and the Bossam with a little blow torch to give it that "fire" on fat taste. Kimchi stew was on point, as well as sundae (intestine soup with side of sausage). No complaints, service was courteous. The Bossam came with big slices of marinated radish, Napa cabbage, and radish kimchi to make the little no-carb tacos (Ssam) with. Sometimes I make Bossam at home too, boiling strips of pork belly with all the seasonings, slice them, put them inside sliced Napa cabbage and put some kimchi-flavored marinated raw oysters, but it's definitely more fun to eat it without doing all the work. I don't think they have raw oysters here but everything was kid friendly, clean, safe.
